All the really exciting things possible during the course of a lifetime require a little more courage than we currently have. A deep breath and a leap.
- John Patrick Shanley, American Playwright
This Art Journey & Life Adventure is living up to it's namesake. These last two months in Texas have felt like lifetimes - full of love, loss and discoveries. This Sunday I head out on an unexpected trip to the Southwest...
Painting and drawing has been a great source of strength and joy during this time - I hope the works themselves carry the same spirit to you.
Scroll down for a look at unfinished paintings in the making.
For the first time I intentionally embarked on a series - a family of paintings created at the same time with a harmonized theme: imaginative landscapes.
Stubborn paintings that won't conform to my preconceptions I call "problem children". Thankfully, all six of this series were problem children. 😉
These gems guided me layer by layer as to what they wanted to become - teaching me many life lessons along the way.
Sunday I ride to the desert. 🌵 Here's my farewell to New Braunfels, TX:
Here's to big leaps.
